Three Thai lawyers who have been involved in one of my cases will now face criminal investigation.
The parties have all been notified today.
I am unable to name the lawyers, or give the details of the case for legal reasons, but can only say that my business partner and myself were stunned by an admission yesterday that a Thai law firm partner threatened our defence lawyer and told him to deliberately lose the case!
A further allegation has been made that a partner in our firm, Alba Laws LLP, has been threatened by a journalist. One of the lawyers narrowly missed being found in Contempt of Court after court documents were given to the same journalist, who is also now likely to be questioned by police.
The allegations were repeated twice, once to Sukanya Warakham, then to me - however on the second occassion the conversation was recorded for evidence.
All three lawyers are now expected to face criminal charges and a case for civil damages, and police reports and a complaint to the Lawyers Council of Thailand will be filed.
In addition, documents will be filed with the Court to bring all the parties before the Court to explain themselves.
